Who are we?

Ramo is the largest willow production company in North America. We manage over 1,000 hectares of plantations across Canada and the United States on various production sites.

In 2025, we will establish more than 500 hectares of new plantations, and we need qualified people to take on this challenge.

Job Description:

We are looking for an Agricultural Coordinator for our plantations in Abitibi, in La Corne — a motivated and experienced individual to manage and synchronize our willow planting, maintenance, and harvesting teams. The ideal candidate will coordinate material resources, ensure adherence to budgets and schedules, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our operational processes.

Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Vice President of Operations, synchronize the activities of the planting, maintenance, and harvesting teams to ensure consistent and efficient management of agricultural operations.
  • Coordinate the use of material resources, ensuring optimal allocation to support all agricultural operations.
  • Oversee the use of fertilizing residual materials on our planting projects (transport, spreading, agronomic planning in partnership with our professionals).
  • Work closely with the operational team.
  • Implement an environment and procedures focused on efficiency, health, and safety.
  • Plan, monitor, and manage operational budgets, ensuring spending is optimized within set limits while maintaining efficiency.
  • Ensure project schedules are met by identifying and resolving issues that may cause delays.
  • Be capable of performing both fieldwork and administrative tasks.
  • Promote and apply sustainable agriculture and environmental management practices across all operations.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Agronomy or a College Diploma in Agricultural Business Management and Technology (GTEA) or a related field, with a strong understanding of sustainable agriculture;
  • 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Significant experience in managing agricultural operations, preferably with expertise in commercial crop production;
  • Advanced technical skills to accurately diagnose and assess the work required on our various projects;
  • Proven experience in project management, budget management, and coordination of multidisciplinary teams;
  • Excellent communication and positive leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams toward achieving goals;
  • Bilingual (French and English); Spanish is an asset;
