The challenge
Soil depletion is a growing concern across the agricultural, municipal and industrial sectors. Intensive use of chemical products and soil compaction degrade the structure and biological life of soils, while conventional mulches do nothing to help regenerate them.
The solution
Ramo's RCW mulch (ramial chipped wood) is produced from willow branches sourced from Evaplant® plantations and pruning operations. This valorized by-product is rich in nutrients, lignin and cellulose (the essential ingredients for feeding the soil's microbial life).
Willow RCW is a unique organic amendment for restoring depleted mining soils. Sourced from Evaplant® plantations, it is part of a circular-economy approach and stimulates the biological activity of soils.
OMRI Listed (approved for organic production)
Listed with OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute), willow RCW can be used in organic production, in accordance with Canadian standards. Certificate available on request.

What is Ramo willow mulch?
Willow mulch is a ramial chipped wood (RCW) produced from the biomass of our plantations. It is an organic amendment that enriches and protects soils.
What are the benefits of willow mulch?
Willow mulch retains moisture, suppresses weeds, enriches the soil with organic matter, and contributes to carbon sequestration. It is 100% natural and local.
Is RCW mulch certified for organic production?
Yes. Willow RCW is OMRI Listed (Organic Materials Review Institute), the independent body that assesses the compliance of inputs intended for organic production. It can therefore be used in organic production, in accordance with Canadian standards. The certificate is available on request.
