Project Manager – Agronomist

Project Manager – Agronomist

Are you an agronomist who wants to put your expertise to work for an innovative circular economy model that recycles fertilizing residual materials (FRMs) to bring life back to the soil and the environment?

Do you dream of a hands-on, stimulating, and meaningful job? Welcome to Ramo!

Who are we?

At Ramo, we offer natural solutions to environmental challenges. Our mission: to turn ecological challenges into sustainable opportunities. We grow willows, restore degraded sites, manage wastewater, and create a range of bio-based and horticultural products. But beyond our projects, we cultivate people: our culture is built on trust, autonomy, and team spirit. Here, every person matters, and you’ll find a dynamic work environment where you can grow professionally while making a real impact.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Project Manager – Agronomist to join our agroforestry team. Every year, we plant millions of willows across Quebec, and to help them grow vigorously, we repurpose organic materials from recycling (sludge, biosolids, digestates, etc.).

Your role: to plan, coordinate, and supervise projects related to the recovery of these FRMs on our sites, while ensuring environmental compliance, agronomic performance, and promoting social acceptability. You’ll be at the heart of an exciting mission, balancing project management, fieldwork, and collaboration with numerous internal and external partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage documentation (project notices, protocols, end-of-season reports).
  • Ensure project regulatory compliance with the MELCCFP.
  • Plan and coordinate transport (with our logistics expert), spreading, and treatment of FRMs.
  • Perform field monitoring and maintain communication with the agroforestry teams.
  • Manage the budgetary, administrative, and technical aspects of projects.
  • Work closely with other project managers and operational teams.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal practices.

    Desired Profile

    • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy.
    • Member in good standing of the Ordre des agronomes du Québec.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the agricultural field, ideally in FRM recycling.
    • Good knowledge of the Quebec agricultural network.
    • Excellent communication, popularization, and teaching skills.
    • Ability to balance office and field work.
    • Autonomy, thoroughness, organizational skills, and flexibility.
    • Valid driver’s license (frequent travel required).

        WHAT WE OFFER

        • Permanent position with a competitive salary based on your experience.
        • Generous vacation time and comprehensive group insurance (including dental).
        • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
        • Friendly, people-centered, and stimulating work atmosphere.
        • Outdoor gym on-site, indoor showers, and lunchtime sports activities (running, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, etc.).

        YOUR FUTURE WORK ENVIRONMENT

        • Located in Saint-Roch-de-l’Achigan, 30 minutes north of Montreal (opposite traffic flow).
        • Open, collaborative, and dynamic workspace.
        • Frequent travel required.
        • Schedule: full time (≈ 40 hrs/week).

        Why join us?
