MULCH METHOD › RECOMMENDED
Apply a 3 inch-thick layer of mulch on the soil like with any other mulch, at any time of the season. It will provide good weed control.
INCORPORATION METHOD › SEE WARNING
Apply a 1 inch-thick layer of mulch on the soil and incorporate by grafting/combing into the first 4 inches of the soil. Do not completely bury the mulch.
The incorporation method accelerates the decomposition process of Ramo RCW and the production of humus. This will fill your soil with nitrogen the first year, which will be liberated for your plants the following years.
To limit nitrogen requirements, we recommend that:
- You proceed to the incorporation in the fall
- And/or amend the soil with organic fertilizers (see table)
Many fertilizing products exist on the market, if needed, ask the advice of an horticulturalist.
